Gold-filled isn't plating. It's a thick layer of solid gold permanently bonded to a jeweler's brass core, which means it wears beautifully for years and won't flake or fade the way plated pieces do. Treat it kindly and it will stay luminous.


Last on, first off. Put your piece on after lotion, perfume, sunscreen, and hairspray — and take it off before you shower, swim, or sweat through a workout.
Keep it dry. Chlorine, salt water, and prolonged moisture are the quickest way to dull the finish. A little splash is fine; a swim is not.
Wipe after wearing. A soft, dry cloth after each wear lifts away the oils and residue that build up over the day.
For a deeper clean, use a drop of mild dish soap in warm water, rinse gently, and pat completely dry.
Skip the harsh stuff. No abrasive polishes, toothpaste, or jewelry dips — they can wear straight through the gold layer.
Store it thoughtfully. Keep pieces in a pouch or lined box, away from heat and humidity, ideally separated so they don't scratch one another.
